A call from us
What the phone call is, and what it is not.
We introduce ourselves by name. We say we are from Fielding Desk, an independent research center in Washington. Then we ask if it is a convenient time.
- We say who we are Name, center, and the reason for the call, in the first minute. The reason is ordinary: how trade, payments, or a measure are being felt.
- You can say no No explanation is required. We will not call back about the same question if you ask us not to.
- Writing is fine If a call is awkward, we send the questions to an email you choose and take the reply in writing.
- Nothing is published Notes stay with the client. We do not put the conversation, your name, or your organization on a website.
- We are not collecting for a list This is not a screening file, a compliance audit, or a report to an authority.
